The Truckers’ Voice and Southeastern Trucking Assoc. started working together in the summer of 2006. The president Mr Murray called us and asks how he could get his members better rates and are please to announce that over the last 3 years have working together to make it fair for all Dump truck operators. The SENBTA was started in 2004 because of the unfair way government work was allocated.
Under the regulations and hiring practices that the New Brunswick government has in the past has not been followed. In 2008 The SENBTA became a member of the New Brunswick Dump Truck Association (NBDTA). It was decided in December of 2008 that the SENBTA would resign from the NBDTA because of servile reasons. The main reason was the SENBTA wanted the Politics out of this Business. After several meeting and discussions with the NBDTA made very clear that this was not the case with most of the members. There was lack of leadership with many of the Presidents as to how the NBDTA was to help their members.
It was made very clear to us that the many of Presidents were running their own personal agenda. They refused to allow their membership to vote or to even be informed on any new ideas or what the NBDTA was doing. The SENBTA believes that the membership should be informed and to have the right vote on the issues that could affect their business.
Since the SENBTA has left the NBDTA we have concentrate on are assoc. we have gone back to why we started this.
It was to make it fair for all involved.
We have work hard to make fair for all by implementing new regulation and policies.
We have expanded our area to include all of Westmoreland County.
We have increase our membership from 100 trucks to over 600 trucks.
Currently we are the largest Trucking association in New Brunswick.
