The Great Canadian Truckers’ Protest

The Truckers’ Voice is interested in hearing what the truckers think. Listed below are a few of the issues that we have been fighting for on behalf of the Canadian Trucker. The Politicians and the bureaucrats have stated that David Bradley, President of the Canadian Trucking Alliance (CTA) and their affiliates speak on your behalf. Unless they are told differently by all truckers, they will continue to believe that David Bradley is your spokesperson.

Over the past 7 years, these are just a few of the issues we have put to the politicians of Canada but they have continued to dismiss your concerns:

Legislate that we receive 100% of the Fuel Surcharge;
Legislate a Loading and Unloading Act;
Certify trucking as an official trade;
Legislate industry to pay truckers within 15-30 days;
Federal Transport implement and clarify the rules for extra provincial and provincial trucking;
Canada Revenue Agency include a Commercial Drivers’ Section in the Tax Act;
Full $60.00 per day meal allowance for all long-haul truckers;
Full $15.00 per meal allowance for short-haul truckers
Force the government to follow one set of rules concerning Hours of Service.

The CTA represents the Carriers, not Truckers!!
